Commercial breaks are over!

"Not really." I grabbed my scythe just as it fell before me, immediately throwing it once more, except this time, I formed a casing of light around it, taking up 10% of my mana. I began dashing at Kagemoru full speed as my scythe swirled in loops around the battleground. The crowd grew wild now, just as I called forth a dagger. The look on Kagemoru's face altered, just as I jumped at him, filling the blade of my dagger with dark magic.

My dagger plunged into his chest, where Kagemoru stood firmly without staggering from the blow. Manipulating the dark magic, I began engulfing Kagemoru in a dark aura, immediately causing the aura to implode on him. His health fell down to 60%, immediately getting chipped down to 35% as my scythe now shred right through his back, falling to the ground afterwards.

Kagemoru still stood proudly, only an inch or two away from where my combo on him had commenced. I smirked, "Had enou-"

"Blaze Grapple!" Kagemoru flickered across the fighting area, turning into a red ball of fire, immediately disappearing in an instant. Next second, I was held in a lock from behind as Kagemoru began burning away my health. "Explosion!" A whistling noise now came from behind me, as I futilely tried stabbing one of Kagemoru's arms to free myself. Right when I finally grazed one of his fingers, the whistle came to an end and numbing pain came across my back, flinging me into the combat barrier with great force.



I fell to the ground, hearing more sirens ring through my ears of my health running out. With the shaft of my scythe, I supported myself back on my feet, grunting with pain. And there he stood, still in his proud stance, but to my surprise, he, too, was at 5% health.

OH MAWH GAWD! THAT WAS UNBELIEVABLE! TWO COMEBACKS BACK-TO-BACK! THIS IS MUCH BETTER THAN A CAT FIGHT!

The another announcer exclaimed, "Well said, my fellow friend! But man! That was I-N-T-E-N-S-...uh...E! Intense! E.X. Corp would make so much money if they sold a video of this fight! I'd totally buy it!"

The crowd went into the loudest uproar yet, as Kagemoru now limped towards me. "Seems you've reached you're limit. You put up a great fight, much better than others." He materialized both of his steel tonfas now, finishing, "Time to end this."

Flames began swirling around the tips of his tonfas, conglamerating into a fireball, slowly enlarging with each second. I looked at my MP bar, seeing I only had 80% of it left after my last assault on him. I formed my dagger in my right hand and held my scythe in my left hand, charging both of them at the same time with dark and light magic respectively. I boasted, "I'm not going down just yet!" As my MP drastically fell to the last %, Kagemoru fireball had grown larger than he himself.

I blacked out.

When I regained consciousness, I stood before Kagemoru with only my scythe at hand, and my health reading at 1%.

FELIX WINS THE MATCH! I GIVE HIM STYLE POINTS FOR HIS VICTORY, BECAUSE THAT WAS ***ING AWESOME!!!

The crowd cheered, and among one of the fans, I swear I heard Lan scream, "You did it, Felix!"

"Whoa there buddy! Don't lose your voice again, with all that excitement you got there. Let's watch the replay folks! We'll show it at all angles because it was that awesome!"

Giant screens appeared on the four sides of the platform, each flickering once and bringing up from where I blacked out. I looked at myself in the screen, feeling as if I was watching someone else take my stead at that point. Kagemoru volleyed his fireball at me by bringing it into the air, and spiking it downwards with both tonfas. I was standing motionlessly, up until the fireball was right in my face.

I jumped into the air, and almost flawlessly, I swung my scythe against the back of the fireball, hooking onto it, and flinging it right back at Kagemoru with the light from my scythe engulfing the fireball within it. Of course, an HP bar appeared on the screen and revealed my health decreasing by 4%, replaying at one point that the fireball had grazed the edge of my foot. Kagemoru immediately fired another fireball, but this one was aimed at the ground. His body flew upwards by a couple inches, barely dodging the fireball I sent back at him. It exploded against the barrier, blinding the entire crowd.

Without a second's waste, Kagemoru now began dive-bombing towards me, his tonfas leading the way with small embers on their surfaces. I flung my scythe at him, forcing him to deflect the spinning scythe with one tonfa, leaving an opening. In slow-motion, the camera angles focused on my dagger, which illuminated with dark magic at this point. I let out a cry, as I brought my dagger over my shoulder and sent it swirling towards Kagemoru.

I stood in disbelief as Kagemoru deflected it with his second tonfa, and even more so when it melted into a shadow, where I held it once more in my hand. Everyone looked with awe at what I had done, as Kagemoru approached closer and closer wide open. I tossed my dagger again in the same manner as both flanks were now open, hitting right on the mark, piercing through Kagemoru's shoulder. He fell hard against the ground, leaving him at 1% health, and to my amazement, my scythe materialized in my hand.

I slammed the tip of the blade dead-center into Kagemoru's back. I couldn't but feel sicken at what I had done, as the crowd kept cheering for my ruthlessness. To my surprise, I heard someone grunting, realizing it was Kagemoru.

The first thing I noticed was my dagger still in his shoulder, which I immediately pull out as gently as possibly. His pain seem to be relieved, and as he began trying to get back up, I offered my hand to him. He looked up, and smiled. "You are a worthy adversary, Felix. I'm glad I got to have this match with you." He grabbed my hand, and the crowd went into the loudest roar as of yet! He got back up to his feet, adding, "Thank you for giving me purpose to go on."

I looked at him oddly, saying instinctively, "Your welcome." I recieved a friend request by him, which I smiled at him. "Sure, thing." We shook on that last note.

"Well, isn't that warming! Bravo, bravo, Reaper of Light!" Kagemoru and I looked to our side, seeing someone clapping at the edge of the platform.

"Eirik," I muttered. "What do you want?"

He grinned, "A rematch. We were stopped in the middle of our fight, remember?" He snapped his fingers, causing an iron cage to form around the entire arena area. The audience began getting frantic, while some kept cheering, thinking a secret event had just begun. "This time, I'm going all out!"

"Why? Because you don't think you can knick me when I have only 1% health?"

He frowned, tossing two purple elixers at me. I caught them both, as he snickered, "Actually, no. To keep things interesting, I'll let you fight with two others. I'll let you decide who's the 3rd person, but the 2nd one must be the one you just fought against."

I gave Kagemoru a look, and I could see the fighter in him jump out from him. I tossed him one elixer, which he began gulping down, as I muttered, "Deal."

I began looking at the crowd, immediately finding everyone in the first row. There was April, who was the first person that came to mind...but then, I remembered what happened last time we fought. I didn't want to risk hurting her again. I almost wanted to pick Origin or True for this battle, but then I remembered that Violet and Wolf were the strongest ones out of my friends. I knew Lan was already out, not to be mean or anything. Daraku...I didn't want to, but his healing may prove helpful. Sky would also be great, as she could counteract Eirik's magical attacks. I didn't want What or Sen in this fight, we already have enough speed on our side.

So for my list, there were the heavy hitters: Origin, True, and Wolf. There were the mages: Sky and Daraku. And then, there was the archer: Violet.

Eirik laughed, "Having a hard time picking which of your friends are going to get defeated?"

April cried, "Felix! Pick who you think is right for this fight, I don't care if it's not me, just believe in yourself!" A few nods were coming across from everyone.

I smiled weakly, "Thanks guys..." A friend request appeared before me. Lexi.

I'll be the one who fights with you.

Lexi materialized before me, in an outfit I never expected from her. She wore a latex, skin-like, black suit, covered in several white plates, which her matched her short, white hair perfectly in color. I hesitated for a moment, and decided to accept her request. Her level read 35.

She ordered softly, "I have to fight him Felix." I looked at her, seeing a twinge of pain come across her face.

"Eirik," I said. "Lexi will be the third fighter."

A strange, purple aura shrouded Eirik, as he exclaimed, "Very well then! Drink that elixer and the fight can begin!" The aura grew thicker as I began drinking. When I finished the last drop, I was back to perfect condition, and the purple aura now began to wrap around Eirik, sealing him in a giant sphere of purple.

Lexi informed, "Felix, he's showing his true form. Get ready." I nodded, as I realized she held no weapon at the time being. I called forth both my scythe and dagger, while Kagemoru gripped his tonfas tightly.

Kagemoru chuckled, "Whatever event or predicament I just got dragged into, I really don't care. Guess this marks the beginning of our friendship, Felix?"

"Haha, I guess so. Though, I was hoping for a cup of coffee or something."

Lexi cried, "Stop joking around at a time like this! He's coming out now!" The aura began to fade away, revealing a peculiar silhouette within the coating of purple. My eyes widened as I saw what seemed to be a tail swishing about, and as the aura disappeared completely, there stood a humanoid dragon, flapping its long, purple-blue wings that spread across half of the platform.

The creature delighted, "Come, Lexi. Why not show your true form as well? Makes things...interessssting..." A snake-like tongue sticked out of the dragon's maw, as he began approaching us. A loud thud could be felt with each step Eirik made with his new, scaly feet that ripped into the ground with the tips of his sharp, white claws. He now stood in the center of the platform, as he raised his arm, clenching his hand-like claws around a light that formed into a staff. It was the same one that he used last time we fought. The sapphire and ruby gems were now flickering with bright lights.

Uh...what's going on?

The announcer muttered in his mic, "Shhhh... Don't upset the dragon dude! He could totally pwn us! We're only level 1 after all, since we only signed up for this!"

You do know you're saying all that in the mic, right?[u]

"...*Bleep*"

"Go, Felix! We believe in you!" cheered Lan and April! Origin gave me a thumbs up, True raised his lance high, and Sky seemed like she was in a praying stance.

"Mr. Felix! I know you can do it!" shouted Daraku! Wolf let out a howl into the sky. To be continued.

I wouldn't have written Kagemoru quite like that... but I am impressed, you have done a really good job and that was well worth the wait

Haha, sorry ^^;, after a year of delay, I may have gone astray from the original intent. Though, I will say that I'm not done characterizing all the characters yet, including Felix himself. Spoiler? Possibly :3

"Go, Felix! We believe in you!" cheered Lan and April. Origin gave me a thumbs up, True raised his lance high, and Sky seemed like she was in a praying stance.

"Mr. Felix! I know you can do it!" shouted Daraku. Wolf let out a howl into the sky.

"I still have money on you!" cried What, while Sen sighed at him.

"You are one interesting kid," smiled Violet, as she inspected me over the distance.

I waved at them, exclaiming, "Thanks guys! I'm ready to-" I heard a hiss go through the air, with an explosion followed up by my side. I didn't get hit luckily, but I knew Eirik was responsible.

"Drink up, boy. You'll need the boost when I'm done with you." He now turned to Lexi, frowning, "I thought I told you to transform."

Lexi muttered, "No... I won't turn into a monster. I will defeat you in my human form, especially after what you did to me!"

Eirik began to roar repeatedly at the ground, almost as if he were laughing. "Little girl still upset I had a little-?"

"Shut up!" Lexi materialized her weapon, and my eyes widened. Two-hand guns were held in her hands, as she let loose several bullets at Eirik. Eirik stood there, tanking all the bullets, almost like Kagemoru was earlier in our match. Lexi now stopped, and took a breath. Her MP was at 80%, which led me to think if they were magical bullets.

He yawned, "That it?" She shrieked, as she materialized another weapon, and I literally freaked out as I saw a rocket launcher slung over her shoulder appear. Eirik looked at Lexi oddly for one second, as Lexi pulled the trigger and fired three consecutive rounds at him. Eirik broke out of his gaze, but he got hit by all three rockets. His health fell down to 90%, while Lexi's MP fell to 35%.

He roared loudly into the skies, flapping his wings and into the air he flew. He snarled, "That actually hurt! But you'll have to do better than that to defeat me!" He be continued later~
