Not sure if this is the right area to talk about it in, but I just tried Megaten...hate it =P Several aspects about it, but the main one is the tutorial. I feel like I'm trying to solve a puzzle cube through trial and error. Or I just fail =P

So....Any random MMO's you guys have gone into where you've either loved or hated?

S4's another one for me. It's fun and all...for the first day or so Very Happy

DfO as well. It's nice, but easily repetitive, and can be a grind.

As of now, I'm going to randomly try out Eden Eternal. It's a mix of DOMO and MS by the sounds of things. Closed Beta right now, and I'll be sure to give my opinion on it? ' w '

Alright, I've played for at least a half hr, and I think I can give a pretty good summary of it right now.

A Review by Felix Wing: Featuring Eternal Eden CB

So, judging from what I've done so far, it's pretty smooth graphics wise, has decent/good character customization, interesting gameplay (consistent to DOMO's really), has the usual controls to moving your character like a few other Aeria MMO's (think Megaten/DOMO), and...two level up systems. That's right, two.

There's your average character level up system, where you as a character levels up by fighting monsters and completing quests (I think? I'll get on that.) However, the second level up system involves your class. Since this game features 15 classes (More like 5, with the other 10 having similar controls to the first 5, and even require you to level up the first 5 classes to certain levels to even unlock them), there's a lot of leveling to be done. Another interesting point about leveling your 'class-level' is that you can only do so by destroying monsters (at least at the point I am; remember, I've only played for an half hour).

Now, enough about leveling; let's move on to skills. You unlock more and more skills as you level up, both as a character and as a class. What's interesting is that your character level has some influence on the skills you can use as your class. For instance, a level 10 character as a lvl 1 Warrior has more skills than a lvl 5 character as a lvl 1 Warrior. Another interesting note is that you can upgrade said skills through something called "Silver." From what I can tell, you can gain Silver from quests and just by leveling.

Now here's the catch to Silver. It's shared among ALL your classes. That means you can probably max out your skills as a Warrior and Wizard right away, but can't as a Cleric. This can hinder how much freedom you have on being whatever class you want in terms of maxing them out. However, on a brighter note, there are some skills each class has that they train with a different stat, known as CP (Class Points), which is gained through leveling your class. This helps even out the usage of Silver, as each class has it's own CP.

Now, moving along the matter of leveling classes, you get 'knowledge points' which basically are used to buff your class even more with passive skills. These passive skills can hold up to as little as 5 or as many as 20 knowledge points (you gain one knowledge point per class level, so hm....) However, you won't have access to every passive skill the class offers, as some branch off of others, requiring 10 pts in so-and-so, or usage of 20 points on any skills to get access to that skill. Much customization (and possible tedious work?) to be done there.

Finally, laziness is achieved with the inclusion of a pet at lvl 5. They can't fight for you (yet), but they auto-loot whatever items drop from monsters you kill. Neat, huh? And the game practically guides you throughout the experience, with the simple push of a button and commencing on an auto-route towards the next NPC you have a quest to take from.

All in all, I think it's decent at the very least. I'm probably going to stick to Vindictus for awhile, and when OB comes by, I'll likely re-join this game and see if there's any improvements and such.

They're permanent...But the thing is, it probably costs money to have them fight side-by-side with you. All they'll do is auto-loot once their durability is 0. I think at least?

Sorry for double post but I made the largest erroneous error in my review. Silver is the CURRENCY in game. That means you can master EVERY class if you have the money (Which you should, leveling up classes via killing monsters?) The only thing that restricts you now would be CP, as you can't max out every skill you have since you only get so much CP per level. Sorry about that.

Also, another interesting note is that General level does matter to a greater extent. You can't level your class level past your general level. Anywho, that's about it. Oh, and this game is quite fun. First boss fight and I gotta say, Clerics shall be loved.

I might be the only one into strategy turn base gaming, but any of you play Atlantica Online?

I started out with Chess, and hence strategy is my favorite genre.

I think I looked into Atlantica, but chose not to play it. I'm thinking of trying out Eden Eternal, just to see what it's like.

MicroVolts is an interesting shooter, but really slow. You're a toy battling it out with other toys. Yay? But, like I said, it's slow, which is not for a fast pace shooter player like me.

Fast paced shooter, reminds me of Gunz The Duel. I loved playing that. Only thing I had against it was the sheer number of k-style clones playing. There are other styles out there that are just as good.

I really wanted to try out Atlantica Online, but for some reason, the page never opens up for me, no matter the browser I use Sad

@Sky: If you went into...Emerald? I can't remember the server I went into but add IceXcalibur and see if we're in the same server. If not...it's CB, where we all die on judgement day! Very Happy (Last day of CB) (It's the first server, I know that. Not the one below, but the one on top)

Edit: Aquamarine Server if you haven't made your character yet
